It's easy - and you will only need four things:

Silly Putty Ingredients

  • Cup-Sized Plastic Container
  • Elmer's Glue
  • Linit Corn Starch
  • Food Coloring

Now, to make your Silly Putty, follow the four-step process, below.

How to Make Silly Putty in Four Steps

  1. Squeeze 1/2 cup of Elmer's Glue into the cup-size container
  2. Pour 1 or 2 tablespoons of the Linit Corn Starch into the container
  3. Stir with spoon, continue to add small amounts of starch until the texture looks and feels like putty
  4. Add your favorite coloring

There you have it, it is quite simple. However, this is only for a snowy or rainy day when you can't leave the house. For such a small price, you can get a whole 10-pack of Play Dough in your favorite colors.
